Summary and Personal Thoughts on “Give My Regards to Black Jack”<\/h2>\n

The protagonist is a young man who has studied medicine at a prestigious Japanese university and has just obtained his medical license. He starts working in an actual hospital for clinical training, as mandated by Japanese law, but struggles with the gap between the ideals and realities of medical care. The young and justice-driven protagonist faces various challenges during his training.<\/p>\n

\nAs for my personal thoughts, my first impression was, “It’s impressive that they have the guts to publish this for free.” It’s a popular work that was serialized in the commercial magazine “Morning” and was even adapted into a live-action drama. It’s genuinely remarkable that it’s available for free. Regarding the content, I feel that readers’ impressions might vary depending on their age. I read this book when I was in college and remember strongly empathizing with the protagonist. However, reading it again at 30, I sometimes found myself irritated by the protagonist’s overly youthful actions.
