Where are the real-life location of Attack on Titan?
The real-life location of Attack on Titan include Carcassonne in France and Nördlingen in Germany. Both towns are known for their surrounding walls, making them popular tourist destinations among core fans who consider them models for the series. This time, I visited Nördlingen!
How to get to Nördlingen
Nördlingen is a town in Bavaria, southern Germany, known for being located in a crater formed by a meteorite impact. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but you can get there in about two hours by BD (Deutsche Bahn) from Munich Central Station.
Explore Nördlingen
It takes about five minutes on foot from the station to the historical old town, which is surrounded by city walls. There are five gates into the old town, but it’s recommended to enter through the Reimlinger Tor, as you can quickly access the top of the wall from there.
There’s a map right next to the gate where you can check your current location and destination.
The top of the wall is a walkway, and it takes about an hour to walk around. Enjoy the medieval atmosphere of the town!
After enjoying the view from the wall, go down and take a leisurely tour of the town center!
After enjoying the view from above, it’s also recommended to visit the historical museums.
That’s all for the information of a real-life location of Attack on Titan. Read the series thoroughly and visit this iconic site!
